St. Andrews Presbyterian College, more often referred to as simply St. Andrews, is a private, 4-year liberal arts college in Laurinburg, which is a mid-sized city in Scotland County, in the US state of North Carolina, serving as the county's seat.
St. Andrews was officially established in 1958, being born through the merger of Flora Macdonald College, established in 1896, and Presbyterian Junior College, established in 1928. The college officially opened its doors in 1961, since then, continuously growing, offering its students, today, who number approximately 800, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts, as well as on-line certificate programs in Therapeutic Horsemanship Business Management, Equine Business Management, and Organizational Leadership.
St. Andrew's athletic teams are known as the Knights, who compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women in NCAA Division II, Conference Carolinas, including in golf, lacrosse, volleyball, wrestling and cross country.
